Christina R. Brooks, 61, of Monticello, died at 11:06 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 22, 2009, at her residence.
Born May 16, 1948, in Lafayette, she was the daughter of the late Benny and Marvella McCollough Nugent.
On Sept. 16, 1998, she married Dennis Littleton in Monticello, and he survives.
She was a receptionist at J.C. Penney and St. Anthony Health Care.
She was a member Veterans of Foreign Wars 1154 Auxiliary and MOCA. She enjoyed fishing, camping, gardening, needlework and spending time with her dogs and family.
Surviving with her husband are her children, Jenetta Brown of Frankfort, Rex Bower of Lafayette, and Melissa Perkins (husband: Doug) and Janet White, both of West Point; and sisters, Jacque Keener (husband: Delton) of Southaven, Miss., and Karen Brooks (husband: Sammy) of West Lafayette.
Also surviving are 8 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by 2 brothers.
Friends may call one hour prior to the 10 a.m. service Saturday at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel, 400 Tywckenham Blvd., the Rev. Dr. Clayton Kendall officiating. I just found out today Saturday at 2:30 PM....I am shocked, I am so sorry,I had been thinking of her a lot lately.
I will get the ladies together and do the ritual for her . We will be sending $25 to Cancer Society in her name.
I need to know where to go in memory gardens for her ritual.
