Cheri J. (Coffman) Cooper passed away on November 3, 2013 due to complications after suffering a heart attack. Cheri is survived by her husband of 32 years Tom Cooper, married May 22, 1982, a daughter Lindsey Libby (husband Josh); son Chad Cooper both of Lafayette; step daughters Ashley Rowe (husband Jonathan) of Battle Ground, Trisha Judson (husband Joe) and their three children Jack, Wyatt and Kate all of Dallas, TX; her mother Jean Coffman of Lafayette; Brothers Ron and Dwight Coffman of Indianapolis; Sisters Karen Culross and Jackie Hicks of Lafayette. Cheri was an avid sports fan, loved to follow Purdue and Colts athletics and enjoyed watching her children compete in any sporting activity they were involved in. Cheri sold real estate in Lafayette for 35 years for Metropolitan Real Estate under her late father Charlie Coffman and for the past year under Francis Reality. Cheri was known as a very kind and giving person, mother, friend, grandmother and wife. Cheri had a reputation as doing things for everyone else before herself and it showed in her work and her family's lives. Cheri attended Wichita State University and returned home to work for her father in the Real Estate business. Cheri loved the outdoors, laying in the sun with her husband, traveling, shopping, working in the yard, being at the golf course, planting flowers and playing with her beloved grandson Gavin Libby, her pride and joy. Visitation will be from 5:00 until 8:00 pm Wednesday, November 6, 2013 at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel, funeral service will be held at 10:00 am Thursday, November 7, 2013 at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel 400 Twyckenham Blvd Lafayette, IN 47909. Burial will follow at Meadow View Cemetery. Those wishing may contribute in Cheri's memory to Riley Children's Hospital.
