Charles B. Connor, 76
Charles B. Connor, 76, of Lafayette, died Friday, Oct. 1, 2010, at St. Elizabeth Central, after a three-year battle with cancer.
Born May 28, 1934, in Lafayette, he was the son of the late Charles G. and Alberta Behler Connor.
He graduated from Lafayette Jefferson High School in 1952, and served in the Army from Oct. 9, 1956 to October 8, 1958.
On Sept. 3, 1960, he married Nancy Hill in Dunnington, and she survives.
Mr. Connor had worked at National Homes and J.C. Penney, was a self-employed contractor, and was co-owner of the Golf Club driving range in Lafayette.
He was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church. He enjoyed playing golf, woodworking and playing cards, and was an avid Chicago Cubs fan.
Surviving with his wife are four daughters, Laura Connor, Julia Kalish (husband: James) and Beth Walker (husband: Kenneth), all of Lafayette, and Christina Connor (husband: Darick Sitar) of Clarkston, Mich.; a son, Bradley Connor (wife: Cindy) of Chattanooga, Tenn.; and a sister, Patricia Peterson (husband: James) of Lafayette.
Also surviving are 16 grandchildren, Daniel Trout, Anna Marie Miner, Mason Sitar, Sidney Sitar, Sean McCarney, Alex McCarney, Olivia Connor, Charlotte Kalish, Alex Kalish, Emily Kalish, Madeline Kalish, Sarah Walker, Katie Walker, Kyle Walker, Audrey Walker and Megan Walker. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Sister Patricia Connor, OSF. Charles passionately loved his family above all!!
Visitation 5-8 p.m. Monday, Oct. 4, 2010, at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel, 400 Twyckenham Blvd. Mass of Christian Burial 10 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 5, 2010, at St. Ann Catholic Church, Fr. Dear Nancy and Family

So sorry to learn of Charlies& passing. Our sincere sympathy to all of you. We would have attended the services had it been possible.
May you find comfort knowing Charlie is with the Lord.

Nancy and your family are in our prayers. When times are low just remember the good times because the good times will outnumber the bad times and memories. To bad we didn&t get to play more cards than we did. Those times were a real joy and comradery.
