Carolyn Ann (Barnett) Huston, 72, of West Lafayette, passed away Friday, May 13, 2022, at her home after a 13- year fight with cancer.
She was born January 9, 1950, in Crawfordsville to the late Louis and Grady (Howe) Barnett. She was a graduate of Battle Ground High School and attended Purdue University. On December 5, 1983, she married her best friend and love, Jeffrey L. Huston in Battle Ground and he survives.
Carolyn enjoyed painting, knitting, and fishing. She was kind-hearted and giving. She was known for knitting hats for children which she donated to Riley Children’s Hospital, The Salvation Army, and the Red Cross. WFLI and the Journal and Courier even ran stories about her knitting these special hats. Above all, Carolyn cherished time with her family and friends.
Along with her husband Jeff, she is survived by her 2 children, Penny Wolf and Frank (Tina) Wolf, both of West Lafayette; 5 grandchildren, Jeff Wolf, Nina O’Connor, William O’Connor, Frank (Cassie) Wolf, and Ashlyn Wolf; 2 great-grandchildren, Kay-Den and Ma Lea; 3 brothers, Jerry (Jean) Barnett of Edna Mills, Ted Barnett of Indian Lakes, FL, and Donnie Barnett of Lafayette; and a sister, Linda (Henry) Sigler of West Lafayette.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Louise and Grady Barnett and her brother Joe Barnett.
Memorial contributions in Carolyn’s name may be given to Riley Children’s Hospital.
Visitation will be from 10:00 am until time of service at 11:00 am, Friday, May 20, 2022, Soller-Baker, West Lafayette Chapel, 1184 Sagamore Parkway West, West Lafayette, IN 47906.
Interment will follow at Battle Ground Cemetery.
