Carol Lynn Wilson, 78, of Lafayette passed away at 1:30 am on Monday, August 29, 2016 at her residence.
She was born May 28, 1938 in Lansing, MI to the late Ira J. and Georgia A. (Rainbolt) Worcestor.
She managed Hickory Farms for several years and that is what brought her to Lafayette.
When in Lafayette she met and married Thomas Isbell he proceeded her in death in 1993.
She then married Morris L. “Les” Wilson who preceded her in death 2012.
Carol was a member of Christ United Methodist Church where she was instrumental in starting the book sales and chicken noodle dinners. She enjoyed reading and traveling.
Surviving are two daughters, Karen Hampton of Lafayette and Konnie Hopson (Michael) of Phoenix, AZ; a son, Jeff Reed of Virginia; a sister, Lois Rood of Lansing, MI as well as three grandchildren, Tyler Reed Hampton, Brian and Justin Stephens along with two great grandchildren. Also surviving are two dearest friends Anita Young and Betty Purcell both of Lafayette. As well as the wonderful friends of her card club.
Visitation will be from 5:30 pm until the time of the service at 7:00 pm on Friday, September 2, 2016 at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel with St Elizabeth Hospice Chaplain Dwight Herin officiating.
Those wishing may contribute in Carol’s name to the Parkinson’s Foundation.
