Calbert A. Cree, 72, of West Lafayette, IN, died at 9:25 PM Thursday February 9, 2012 at Indiana University Health.
He was born March 22, 1939, in Lafayette, IN, to the late Ward and Pauline Cree.
He served in the United States Army from December 4, 1961 to December 3, 1964.
He graduated from Klondike High School and Purdue University..
Cal was a Member and Past Commander of the American Legion post 492. He was also a member of the 40&8, AmVets #79, and the Shriners Club. He was also a member of the Masonic lodge # 313..
Surviving are Brother- Merrell Cree, wife Cathy, of Lafayette, IN
Brother- Lorell Cree, wife Barbara, of Monticello, IN
Nephew- Brett Cree, of Lafayette, IN
Nephew- Ward Cree, wife Lisa of Lafayette, IN
Niece- Connie Han, husband Steve of Lafayette, IN
Niece- Cindy Perdue, Lafayette, IN.

Visitation will be 4-8 PM Wednesday February 15, 2012 at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel
Funeral Service will be 1:00 PM Thursday at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel
With Pastor Dan Young officiating.
Entombment will be at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens following the service.

Dear family,
Our thoughts and prayers are with you all during this sad time. During my time of employment at the Veterans Home,
I remember Mr. Cree as a tireless worker for all the veterans.

Sorry to hear of Cal&s passing. He was a very nice man and a very good friend to my husband and I for many years. My thoughts and prayers are with his entire family during this difficult time. We had many good times together. He will be greatly missed.

My husband, L.P., and I were so sorry to hear of Cal&s passing. We met him several years ago through Jackie Morris. They would spend a couple of months during the winter at the RV park near our house. We had a lot of good times with them. We will miss seeing his smiling face and his good humor.

Just wanted you to know how bad i feel about the lost of your brother.
I will miss Calbert a whole lot i think about all three of you often. Sorry that we had to get in touch like this and not under better circumstances. I am so sorry that we will not be able to make it to the funeral, do to prior commitments. But i what you to know that our thoughts and prayers will be with the both of you and your family&s.
