This world lost a wonderful soul on December 9, 2016. Brenda Lou McDonald (52) died unexpectedly due to complications during surgery. Brenda was born to John and Becky McDonald on December 16, 1963. Her father preceded her in death. Brenda felt her biggest accomplishment was parenting her beautiful children that she leaves behind: Treavor Oaks of West Lafayette and Megan L. Norris (Christopher) of Noblesville, IN.
Brenda was a member of the Class of 1982 of William Henry Harrison High School. She was a proud Purdue University graduate. Brenda was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Ariel 347. Brenda was an active member of the Elston Presbyterian Church. Her faith and church family held a special place in her heart.
Brenda will be remembered for her gracious attitude, her love of her family, and her fondness for photography. Along with her mother and children, Brenda is survived by two brothers: David R. McDonald (Lisa) of Raleigh, NC and Doug (Judy) H. McDonald of Canton, MI. She leaves behind two nieces, Kylie and Brooke, and two nephews, Luke and Bryce.
Visitation will be held in Lafayette, IN at Soller-Baker Funeral Home at 400 Twychekham Blvd on Sunday, December 18 from 1:30 – 3:00. Services officiated by Rick Ryan will follow immediately at 3:00pm. Her burial will be at Sand Ridge Cemetery in West Lafayette.
