Boyce Terry, 67, of Lafayette, died at 10:15 p.m. Friday, December 2, 2011 at his residence.
He was born December 8, 1943, in Courtland, AL, to the late Curtis and Lownella Jacobs Terry.
On January 21, 1964 he married Mary Ann Bray in Moulton, AL and she survives.
Boyce retired on January 13, 1995 after 33 years as a laborer for the Labor Local # 274.
He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Surviving along with his wife are two sons Roland D. Terry (wife Julie) of Lafayette, Shayne Hart (wife Trysh) of Delphi; three brothers Duane Terry (wife Joann) of West Lafayette, Doug Barry Terry and
Anthony Glen Terry both of Lafayette; two sisters Janice Bray (husband Tom) of Colburn, Rebecca Scarborough (husband Dean) of Courtland, AL and eight grandchildren Joshua, Jacob and Jeremiah Terry, Kenny Joe, Shayna, Mason and Josiah Hart and Jason Grady. Also surviving are 2 special friends Wally Hare and Nub Hickman.
He was preceded in death by 5 brothers and 1 sister.
Visitation will be 5 to 8 pm Tuesday December 6, 2011 at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel 400 Twyckenham Blvd Lafayette, IN 47909. A private family burial will take place at Elmwood Cemetery in Romney.

My heart breaks for Mary Ann and the family. It was not that long ago that Boyce was setting on the back porch with me and my mom and dad (Virgil & Dorothy Crabtree) all just talking and hanging out. He was always a very nice man and fun to talk with and seemed to always make me smile. He is going to be missed very much. I&m just so shocked to know that he has passed, but at the same time I know he has moved on to that one place.....where we will all see each other again.
