Birdie Lorelle Minglin, 84, of Lebanon, died Sunday January 31, 2016 at her Residence surrounded by her loving family.

She was born June 30, 1931, in Nashville, TN.

Birdie graduated from Flora High School in 1949 and the International Business School in 1951.

She married the late Calvin Minglin on September 17, 1955 in Indianapolis.

Birdie worked as an officer manager and bookkeeper for many years. Her main interests were her family, friends, reading and scrap booking. She was the best cook anyone EVER knew!

Surviving along with her children Melanie Reelitz (Lebanon), Valerie Hughes (Lebanon) and Clinton Minglin (Kurtina) (Monticello), is a daughter-in-law Carla Minglin (Lebanon), a brother Andrew Jackson (Karen) (Grafton, IL); grandchildren Robert Hughes (Ashlyn), Alan (AJ) Hughes (Kendra), Kayla Floyd (Mike), Kendra Minglin, Jackson Minglin and 12 great-grandchildren, a beloved aunt Mary Walker, niece Jennifer Hynes (Rob) and many other family members.

Visitation will be Thursday February 4th from 10:00 – 11:00 am at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel 400 Twyckenham Blvd. Lafayette, IN 47909. Followed by funeral service at 11:00.  Officiating Fred Schnarr. Burial will be at Maple Lawn Cemetery, Flora, IN.

 Preceded in death by her parents Andrew & Elizabeth (Fenton) Jackson, a son Kevin Minglin, and her brother Buddy Jackson.
