Billy L. Carey, 85 Billy L. Carey, 85, of Lafayette, IN, died at 9:10 AM Monday April 22, 2013 at St. Mary Health Care. He was born November 18, 1927, in Hamilton County, IN, to the late Archie and Nancy Carey. After graduating from Carmel High School in 1946 he served in the United States Army during the Korean conflict On November 12, 1947 he married Eleanor Wilson in Jolietville, IN Since the spring of 1953 Billy was the powerhouse supervisor at Eli Lilly Billy was an avid fisherman, birdwatcher, and nature lover. Surviving along with the spouse are a daughter, Alane Medley, husband Todd, of Veedersburg, a daughter, Luanne Wagoner, husband Larry of Lafayette 4 grandchildren, Wendy Davis, husband Dale of Veedersburg Scott Medley, wife Amie, of Veedersburg, Shawn Wagoner, wife Kristen of Crown Point, and Marcus Wagoner, wife Megan of Lafayette, and 8 Great grandchildren Preceded in death by Parents, Archie and Nancy Carey and a daughter, Dena Carey 3 brothers and 3 sisters. Visitation will be from 6-8 PM Wednesday, April 24, 2013 at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel, with a private burial to follow. Those wishing may contribute to the charity of their choice
