Beverly R. Taylor, 87, of Lafayette died Saturday, March 12, 2016 at her home. She was born August 27, 1928, in Lafayette to the late Perry and Bertha Reese Dawson. On May 29, 1954 she married Winfred Taylor in Lafayette and he preceded her in death in April of 1992. Beverly and her husband owned and operate the Local Bar for 37 years. She had also worked at the Indiana Veteran Home and the Arnett Clinic. She had been an avid bowler and was a devoted wife and mother. Surviving are her children Michael O. Taylor (Deborah) of Lafayette, John G. Butler of Bedford, Marsha L. Taylor (Debra Higginson), Rebecca J. Taylor all of Lafayette, 11 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and 7 great great grandchildren. Beverly was preceded in death by 3 sisters. Service will be 10:00 AM Thursday at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens Mausloeum Chapel. Interment will be at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made the American Heart Association in Beverly’s memory.
