Betty Jean Frazier, 81, of West Lafayette died Sunday, March 27, 2016 at her home. She was born April 16, 1934, in Lafayette to the late Paul E. and Pauline Snyder Brant. Betty served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War where she received her nurses schooling. She worked as a nurse at Home Hospital for many years and after retirement she worked as a Greeter at WalMart. Her marriage was to Walter Warren Frazier in Lafayette and he preceded her in death in 2010. She was a member of Faith Presbyterian Church and enjoyed flower gardening. Betty liked going to Jenks Rest to listen and sing with the bands.
Surviving are her children Vicki Humerickhouse of West Lafayette, Pamela Roberts (Richard) of Avon, Debra Nelson of Lafayette, grandchildren John Humerickhouse, Sarah Jean Brooks, Crystal Dawn Brooks, great grandchildren Keagan Humerickhouse and Persephone DeKalb. Betty was preceded in death by a foster son Jay Summers and a brother Paul Robert Brant.
Visitation from 12:30 pm until the time of the service at 1:30 pm Thursday at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel, 400 Twyckenham Blvd. with Pastor David Horner officiating. Entombment will be at be at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens. Those wishing may contribute to Caregiver Companion or any local animal shelter.
