Barbara Loeb Alexander, 86, of Tamarac, Fla., died Friday, April 9, 2010, at her residence.
She was born May 16, 1923, in Lafayette, and was the daughter of the late Samuel Loeb and Gertrude Wolfe Loeb Rosen. She graduated from Ferry Hall School and Tobe-Coburn School for Fashion.
On April 23, 1945, she married Jack Alexander in New York, and he died in 1985.
Surviving are her daughters, Jacquelyn A. Bell of Coral Springs, Fla., and Patricia Hughson (husband: Thomas) of Charlottesville, Va.; and a sister, Carol Loeb Wallach of Carol Springs.
Also surviving are her grandchildren David Kulman (wife: Ali), Joel Kulman and (significant other: Kathryn Ennhuis), Alexis Bell and David Bell, lifelong friend, Alberta Whitehead, and a loving nephew, Ed Wallach (wife: Diana) and Charlie Wallach.
Graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Temple Israel Cemetery, Rabbi Audrey Pollack officiating.
