Angelina L. Caplan, 47
Angelina “Angel” L. Hinton McGlothlin Caplan, 47, of Peru, Ind., died at 5:50 a.m. Friday, July 23, 2010, at Windsor Estates in Kokomo.
Born July 10, 1963, in Lafayette, she was the daughter of the late Richard Hinton and Sandra Gay Buckles. She graduated from Lafayette Jefferson High School.
On April 23, 2005, she married Ross Caplan in Peru, and he survives.
Mrs. Caplan enjoyed bowling, scrapbooking, the Indianapolis Colts, NASCAR, computers, and her dog.
Surviving with her husband are a son, Brandon McGlothlin of West Lafayette; her stepfather, Charles R. Buckles Sr. of Lafayette; and three sisters, Jacki Buckles, Tricia Hudgins and April Alderson (husband: Robert), all of Lafayette.
Also surviving are her grandmother, Helen F. Gay of Lafayette; an uncle, Jack Gay of Lafayette; several nieces and nephews; and her Cocker Spaniel, Pooh.
Visitation 5-8 p.m. Monday, July 26, 2010, at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel, 400 Twyckenham Blvd. Service 10 a.m. Tuesday at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel. Interment at West Point Cemetery. Send condolences to www.soller-baker.com

I met Pooh online in the Indiana chat room 4, but we ended up becoming friends. When she was in the nursing home I took one of our dogs into the nursing home so she could see her. I can still see the smile it put on her face. She will be so missed by so many, but she will live forever in my heart. Just know that Pooh was so very loved by so many. I think she touched all of us in some special way.
