Amy Suzanne Wade, 44, of Lafayette, died unexpectedly at 9:38 AM Tuesday October 16, 2012 at her residence.
She was born May 16, 1968, in Lafayette, to Robert D. and Margaret Peggy Lemm May of Lafayette.
She graduated from Lafayette Jefferson High School in 1986 and received two associate degrees from Vincennes University.
Amy was a bridal consultant for Chiffon Bridal for the past two years. She enjoyed shopping, camping, floral design, working in her flower gardens and on her landscaping.
Surviving along with her parents is a daughter Hattie Wade of Lafayette, a brother Todd May of Cleveland, OH, her Grandpa Jerry Lemm of Melbourne, Florida and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Visitation will be from 12 noon until the service at 2:00 pm on Saturday, October 20, 2012 at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel 400 Twyckenham Blvd Lafayette, IN 47909 with Rev. Bruce Mowery officiating.
In lieu of flowers those wishing may donate to Collegechoice 529 for the Hattie Wade College Fund at Lafayette Bank and Trust. Make checks payable to Collegechoice 529 and in the memo put Hattie Wade.

My prayers are with the family. You have lost a daughter, mother, sister, niece, cousin, and friend. Hattie, you have a bright future ahead of you with family and friends that will help you get through the hard times. We love you and will always be here for you. May your mom RIP.

Amy was a neighbor of mine approx 17 years ago and then just recently she helped my daughter pickout her wedding dress and we reconnected.
She did an awesome job at the wedding fittings and assisting my daughter.a. My thoughts and prayers are with her family and especially mattie. Mattie....just know, she loved you very much and showed me your school picture when a reconnected with her and was so proud of you. I am sorry to hear of your loss. Amy helped me pick out my bridesmaid dresses and helped my husband, all of our groomsmen, and our fathers with their tux&s. She always went out of her way to help us! She gave my daughter two big diamonds when we were in trying on shoes one day and my daughter still has them and will say to me, ""That nice lady where you got your wedding dress gave these to me."" She will never be forgotten!
