Amelia Lucille Baker, 84, of West Lafayette, IN, died Wednesday April 3, 2013 at her residence. She was born October 11, 1928, in Clinton County, IN, to the late Joseph Fleming and Mary Dildon Fleming. Amelia graduated from Lafayette Jefferson High School in 1946 and on October 4, 1958 she married Steven Baker Jr. in West Lafayette and he survives. Mrs. Baker worked for GTE for 20 years and was a homemaker. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and enjoyed cooking for her family and needlework. Surviving along with her husband are her sons John R. Baker wife Lisa of Grand Blanc, MI, Steven E. Baker III wife Leslie of Westchester, CA, grandchildren Noah Aden and Luke Elijah Baker, Liam Alexander and Arwen Sabrina Baker. Also surviving her brother Francis Fleming of Lafayette and a sister Mary Ellen Kalapach husband Milton of Lafayette. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to a 2:00 PM service Saturday at Soller-Baker West Lafayette Chapel, 1184 Sagamore Parkway West, Rev. Dr. J. Phillip Klinger officiating. Burial will be at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens.
