Aaron Harrison Hummer Jr., 74, beloved father, husband and brother, passed away on April 25, 2014 in Venice, FL. Aaron was born in Lafayette, IN on June 29, 1939 to the late Emma and Aaron Hummer, and was the oldest of seven children who include Janice, Dale, Dan, Bill, Karen and Jerry. Aaron was married to Margaret Hummer for 44 years, she preceded him in death. He was the father of 8 children, Aaron, Mike, Greg, Marvin, Mary, Lisa, Don, and Jeff. Aaron had 25 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. Aaron moved to Florida in 1997 after being born and raised in Lafayette. Aaron retired from Lafayette Venetian Blind Inc., after managing the Eastern Region for the company after 31 years of service. Aaron was a member of the first graduation class from Southwestern High School in 1957. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 pm Thursday, May 1, 2014 at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel with funeral services being held at 10:00 am on Friday, May 2, at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel 400 Twyckenham Blvd Lafayette, IN 47909. Burial will follow at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens.
